Tucked away beside New Romney’s historic church, The Coach House is an independent, family-run restaurant created by Fredi and Hazel.
Together, they have shaped a restaurant that reflects the food they love: generous Greek favourites, Mediterranean classics and familiar dishes given a little Coach House character.
It is a place to slow down, enjoy good food and spend time with the people around you.
Inspired by the Mediterranean
Our cooking takes inspiration from Greece and the wider Mediterranean, where food is closely connected to family, generosity and time spent together.
That means generous portions, comforting flavours and dishes made to be enjoyed rather than rushed.
Across our menus, you will find everything from breakfast favourites and relaxed lunches to souvlaki, moussaka, sharing plates and other Mediterranean-inspired dishes served throughout the day.

The Coach House opened in 2020 with a simple idea: to create a welcoming local restaurant where Mediterranean food and warm hospitality could bring people together.
Since then, it has become a place for more than meals. Regular events, live entertainment and celebrations have helped create a restaurant that feels connected to the local community.
Some people visit for a full evening with friends. Others come in for coffee, cake and a quiet moment. Both are equally welcome.

The Coach House is shaped by Fredi and Hazel’s shared love of Mediterranean food and welcoming people around the table.
Their approach is personal and uncomplicated: prepare food with care, serve it generously and make every guest feel comfortable from the moment they arrive.
